The tone of ths Auckland Btiaremsrfcefc yesterday was again good. Government loans were firm, with mora buyers than sellers, and there ■were no transactions. For Soldiers' Loaa (inscribed stock) buyers offered £92, but there were no sellers. In banks, Commercials were stu. wanted at 235, no sellers quoting. New South Wales had demand si £55 15e. without sellers. For New Zealand* buyers offered 48s 3d, sellers quoting at. 495. In insurances. Nationals had sellers at 60s, buyers withdrawing after offers of 595. New Zeaianda were wanted at 27 s 6d. sellers 28s. 3d. South British had ! buyers at 34s 6d, sellers 55* 6d. In gas, Aucklands (con.) were done at 18s Io 18* sd. In shipping, P. and O.'s (deferred stock) had sale at, £352, with more in de mand at £340 ajjd no sellers. In mis cellaneous lines, business was done in Auckland Trains (pref.) at 15s 9d, and in Wilsons Cements at 13s 9d. In mining. Talismans sold at 6s Id. Waihis at 30s. were looked for at £9s 3d..
