The scries of lectures upon forestry by Mr. W. E. McGregor, assistant in will be continued this evening in the science building of the University College, starting at 8 o'clock. The question of the composition ant! structure of forest soils will be considered in more detail, following upon which there will be a brief account of the reclamation of waste lands for the purposes of forestry. Among other conditions, consideration will be given to swamps, pisat bogs, steep hill slopes, Heath land and sand danesl Attention will then be {riven to the enemies of the forest and the. important question of forest protectiou. This branch of the subject will first be treated generally. The work, of insects, both useful and'injurious, will be discussed in more detail, together with an account of the life histories of some of the more important types
