The restriction $ of heavy traffic during the winter months was discussed at length. Matters left to the engineer included supply of road metal and bridge repair. A protest against the reimposition of the import duty on cement was supported by the council. The silting trouble on the local rivers was further discussed with a view to laying the position before the Inland Waterways Commission.
