Following are the ruling prices for frozen meat: — Mutton—Heavy Canterbury. 8d; South American wetheTs, B}d to 7 Id. Reef.—Argentine: fores 4Jd, hinds 8-d. Cruquay: fores 3?d, hind 3 6d. Chilled Argentine beef is: Fores sd, hinds lid. FLOUR AND CEREALS. Moderate business is being done in. wheat at firm prices. Flour is in better demand. Australian, Bpofc 66s three months 66s 6d. ex storeEnglish oats are easier. Australian, and New Zealand are unchanged. Barley is firmer, no Australian offering. Beans and peas are quiet and unchanged.
SUGAR. Sugar is easier. Granulated, 665. METALS. Metal Exchange statistics of stocks are: — Tin. 6338 tons; copper, 19,305 tons; lead, 18,127 tons; epelter, 17,730 tons. COTTON. COPKA. HEMP, ETC. Cotton.—June shipments, 8.22 d per lb. Copra.—May-July shipmente: nominal. £28 10s. Jute—May-June shipment?. £33. Hemp.—April-June shipments. £40. Rubber.—Para lOkl, plantation. 101 d. smoked 95d.
FOREIGN EXCHANGES. The Bank of New South Wales has received advice quoting the buying rates, approximately, of foreign exchanges for on-demand bills on London. The advice, which is cabled to Australia, thenc© transmitted to New Zealand by mail, is as follows: —
