The activity of thieves in Hamilton! appears very pronounced at the present! time- Of recent weeks there have been several instances of losses of articles from residences. However, the ma.! - ter seems to have reached a more serious stage, as the latest report is that workmen employed on a building in Anglesey Street, and who rented a house on tlie same property, during their temporary absence had the house ransacked, an J clothes and money to the value of between £60 and £70 removed.
