The Court of Appeal -was engaged yesterda-- afternoon in hearing an application bv F. J. Smith to be admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court, of New Zealand. Mr. Smith had been admitted in and practised in Scotland as a law agent, and the question for the decision of the CX>urt :s whether under the Law Practitioners Act, 1908. Smith is entitled to be admitted as a solicitor in New Zealand. The Court reserved its decision.
