THE NATIONAL, ANTHEM.

Sir,—Being one of tie audience at last night's concert, and having thoroughly enjoyed same, I should like toft congratulate the artists cn their conspicuous success, but must enter my emphatic protest at the absence of the National Anthem from the programme. 1 know many of the aud:enc« resented the anthem not being on the printed programme, but hoped Mr. Hutehens would have plaved it after his last item. He did not do "so. and a fashionable and, I believe, loyal audience dispersed at this critical tiine in the nation's history without havin<the opportunity to stand, and thus show their loyalty to their King.
