RECOGNITION BY THE ALLIES.
ESTHONIA AND LATVIA.

_ The inter-allied Conference is considering Polish and Russian questions. The conference decided to recognise the Baltic btates of Esthonia and Latvia, but deferred «scognition of Lithuania until the future of Vilna is settled. ME. WILSON AND RUSSIA. BRAZIL SUPPORTS POLICY. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Jan. 26. The Brazilian Minister to the United btates has informed the State Department that Brazil is i n thorough accord with the view indicated by Mr. Wilson in ms Not* to the League of Nations on the Russian question. Brazil is the first Power to respond to the appeal of Mr Wilson, who urged that the Great Powers should guarantee Russia freedom from aggression with the object of testing the good faith of the professions of the Soviet Government, which hitherto has deferred demobilisation of the Red Army on the ground that it is afraid of new attacks Irom outside.
