The public accounts for the Decembeu quarter were published in to-night's' Gazette. The balances in the fund have beeis reduced by over £13,000,000 by the transfer of £12,246,250 to the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Fund Account, and of £1,200,000 to the London Reserva Fund Account. In addition, Treasury Bills for £600,000 have been redeemed. The balance of the fund at December 3t was, therefore, £4,363,598, compared with £12,774,417 at December 31, 1919. The account of the Publio Works Fund shows that at the beginning of the December quarter there was a balance of Receipts during the quarter amounted to £1,372,700, including £1,050,000 raised by the issue of debentures.
