BUYERS OPERATE FREELY. LARGE PROPORTION SOLD. [b; telegsath.—press association.] DUNEDIN. Wednesday. The first wool sale held here since. 1916 opened this afternoon, when 9809 bales were offered to a good attendance of Home and colonial buyers. The sale opened at 2 p.m., and by eleven o'clock approximately 75 per cent, of the lots had been cleared at prices that, under prevailing conditions, must be considered satisfactory.
