KALGOORLIE BY-ELECTION.

A. and N.Z. PERTH. Dec. 20. The latest figures for .the Kalgoorlie byelection show that Mr. Mahon is behind his opponent. Mr. Folev has secured 6788 votes, and Mr. Mahon 6368. About 4000 votes have yet to be counted.

Mr. H. Mahon, the former member for Kalgoorlie. was expelled from the Federal House of Representatives by a vote of the members in consequence of disloyal utterances in a speech at an Irish demonstration.
