RAIN IN THE COUNTRY.
ANXIETY FOR . HARVEST. A. and N.Z.. ' SYDNEY, Deo. 9. The position in regard to some wheat areas where rain is falling is becoming increasingly anxious. Not only are harvesting operations delayed, but the grain is bleached, its quality adversely • affected, and crops tangled by the wind. Already considerable damage "is reported. Another drawback is insufficient storage for damp grain, which country centres - have railed to Sydney. It is feared that a shortage of railway rolling stock, will adversely delay transport.
