The Necessary Commodities Commission has* fixed the price of cheese at Is 5Jd per lb., and the price of the large loaf at Is sd. The new prices come into force from to-morrow. SHIPMENT OP WHEAT. AGENTS TO BE EXCLUDED. (Reed. 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 8. The State Wheat Board has decided to control the shipment of wheat from Sydney. No agents will be employed. PAPER-MAKING RESEARCH. MELBOURNE, Dec. 8 The Federal Government has made available a grant of £1800 for immediate extensions of the forest products laboratories in West Australia. An arrangement has also been made by the Victorian and New South Wales forestry services, the newspaper companies, and the paper trade for granting £10,000 to establish a permanent paper laboratory in West Australia.
