WHEATGROWERS CONFER.
PRICE FOR SEASON'S CROP. Lbt TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARTJ, Wednesday. A conference was held this afternoon of wheatgrowers in North and South Canterbury and North Otago. Thirty were present, the meeting being held at the instance of the president of-the New Zealand Farmers' Union. It was decided to ask the Minister to call a conference in January to decide the price of this season's crop. In regard to the 1921-22 crop, it was resolved that the present system of control be continued, provided a satisfactory minimum, price is guaranteed.. It was decided to recommend the Government to undertake the purchase and distribution of undergrade wheat, and further to draw the attention of the Government to the need for more trucks to carry harvest produce.
