Forward four and six-tooth ethers ! 2Sr 9d' to 31s 6d, fairly good 26s to 28s, inferior 24s to 25s 6d: fair two-tooth wethers Wla 7rt to 245, cull and inferior 17s 2d to 22s 9d; four and six-tooth half-bred woolly : wethers. 33s 3d; good two-tooth ewes 36s 2d, inferior 20s 6d to 21s 6d; ordinary four-tooth dry ewes, 263 Id: eound and failing-mouth dry ewes, 17s to 19s. Pat Lambs.— were yarded, and prices receded to the figure prevailing a fortnight ago. Extra prime lambs 34s to 40s 6d. prime 29s Cd to 335. medium 26s to 295, light and inferior 22s 4d 'to 255. Fat Sheep.—Vendors met a, weaker market and prime wether mutton sold at only a slight reduction on the last sale. Medium Quality and ewe mutton were- -down by several shillings per head to fully freezing rates. Extra prime wethers made 465. prime 34a 6d to 40s. medium 29s 9d to 33s 9d, light and unfinished 26s to 29s 3d; ewes, extra prime 41s, prime 28s 6d to 33s 6d, medium 24s 6d to 28s, light and unfinished 19s to 23s 6d. Fat Cattle.324 were yarded, an oversupply. Values were down about 40s to 45s a head, the cost averaging about £2 7s Gd per 1001b. Steers, prime £21 to £25 2s 6d. medium £16 to £20 10s, light and unfinished £9 10a to £15 10s ; cows, extra prime £21 10s, prime £14 10s to £18. -ordinary £11 to £14. light and unfinished £9 to .£lO 15s; heifers, extra prim* £14 15* to £15 15s. medium £11 to £13, light and unfinished £8 to £10. Dairy Cattle.—A poorer demand. Good first-calvers made £11 to £21; third and fourth calvers, £16 to £19 15«; inferior cows, £4 10s to £9. Store Cattle. —A considerable yarding and an indifferent demand. Three-year steers made £10 ss; two-year steers, £4 10s; heifers, £8 2s 6d: yearling heifers. £3 7s 6d • cows, £6 to £10 15s; bulls, £3 15s to £6 10s.
Vealers.—Good vealers were in request. Runners, £8 15s: vealers, good £7 2s Gd, medium £4 15s; inferior calves, to £2 2s. Fat Pigs.—A big penning and a fair sale. Choppers, £5 10s to £5 17s 6d; baconers, light £5 10s to £5 17s 6d. heavy £6 to £6 15s. extra heavy £7 to £7 12s. average price per lb.. 10d.; porkers, light £3 14s to £4, heavy £4 10s to £5, average price per lb. Hid to 12d. Store —An easier sale. Stores, medium £3 10s to £3 16s. small £1 lSs to £2 16s: weaners, 12s to £1 16s; sows, poor sorts. £4 10s to £5.
