CONSTANTINOPLE, Nov. 7 in response to an Allied demand for the : ratification by Turkey of the peace treaty, ; the Porte has sent a temporising Note, j stating that the matter is not pressing, ! and immediate ratification would defeat • the chances of an understanding between | the Porte and the Nationalist Party.
CON STANTINOPLE COMMAND. AGREEMENT WITH FRANCE. TO BE HELD IN ROTATION. Times. CONSTANTINOPLE. Nov. 7. On behalf of the Allies. Marshal Foch and Field-Marshal Sir Henry Wilson have arranged for the Allied command at Constantinople to be held in rotation. For the first two years General Sir Thomas Harrington will act. a French general succeeding him.
