A CANADIAN OPINION/ RENEWAL ADVOCATED. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 6. The Montreal correspondent of the Morning Post says that the Canadian Government has not revealed its attitude toward the renewal of the Anglo-Japanese treaty, but Mr. Rodolphe Lernieux, formerly Postmaster-General, in an interview, strongly favoured its renewal from a Canadian standpoint, because all transit between Europe and the Far East will eventually pass through Canada.
