AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Oct. 6. Twenty-six competitors have entered for the amateur billiards championship, including Mr. C. B. Fry, the holder, and five ex-champions'. Mr. J. R. Hooper, formerly of Auckland and now champion of Australia, meets Mr. Christy, an exBritish champion, in the first round.
