TRAMWAY EMPLOYEES.
MOST FIND. TEMPORARY WORK. The. majority of the tramwaymen" have been able to find temporary work of some description since the lack of coal stopped the tram service. A . large number are working as conductors on the motor-bus fleet, and others are doing a variety of od/i jobs in and around the city. Some are ori no one's wages-sheet, but are keeping the home fires burning by gathering; firewood wherever. -they can get it. There is no reason to fear that the tramways will be short-staffed on Monday next through employees finding permanent work elsewhere. The secretary of the union stated yesterday that as far as he knew the men would roll up practically in full force when summoned.
