AN UNUSUAL CHARGE.
BOY DISOBEDIENT TO TEACHER, An unusual charge, was heard by" Mr. P., W. McKean S-M,, at the Otahuhu Police Court yesterday, when a lad of 17 years of age -was charged with having been habitually disobedient to his teacher at the compulsory evening technical continuation classes. The information wae laid by the Auckland Education Board, for which Mr, J. P. Kalaugher appeared. On receiving. an assurance from the lad's fether as to,his son's future behaviour, the magistrate adjourned the case for two months. Five-Aajys under the a?;e of sixteen were charged with the theft of a number 0$ onion plants from a local market gardener. The case was adjourned for six months, subject to the good behnviour of the culprits in the meantime. Three of them were ordered to pay 10s each as damages, the remaining two'being admonished and discharged.
