DRILLS FOR WAIHI MINE.
SATISFACTORY ARRANGEMENT. J.BY TELEGRAPH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAIHI. Monday. It is now quite clear that the failure of the firm entrusted with the order to supply the Waihi Gold Mining Company with water-feed drills in time for their introduction in the underground workings on October 1, as provided for by the Act, will not materially affect the gold output. Pending the arrival of the new machines, which should reach Waihi inside two months, the management is finding work at various points for the miners not yet supplied with the new drills, and as the men reported themselves at the mine office this morning arrangements were made for practically Ihe whole of them to resume work. The few remaining men will easily be absorbed. D
