ARCHDUKES BECOME CLERKS. Australian and N.Z Cable Association. deed. 7.30 p.m.) GENEVA, Sept. 7. The ex-Empress of Austria, who is living at Prangins, in Switzerland, declares that 80 members of the Hapsburg family, chiefly archdukes and archduchesses, belonging to minor branches of the family, are in financial distress, owing to the stoppage of their incomes or the depreciated exchange. Some of the archdukes have become clerks, and archduchesses have become governesses and ladies' maids.
