FAREWELL TO VICAR.

A farewell social was tendered to the retiring vicar of St. Sepulchre's, the R*v. W. A. Kcay, in the parish haD last evening, an opportunity at the same time being afforded the parishioners cf meeting the Rev. S. P. Brisere, who is to hive temporary charge of the parish. A musical programme arranged by Mr. Harold' Grtgson, organist at the* church, was much enjoyed. Archdeacon G. MaoMurray, the Bishop's commissary, expressed regret at losing Mr. Jieay, and Dr. Stride, the people's warden, presented Mr. IJisay with an illuminated address and a purso of sovereigns. The vicar briefly responded. Refreshments were supplied, and after gome dancing the evening was brought to a dose with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne "
