DEATH OF OLD COLONISTS.

The deceased, wail the youngest daughter of Mr. John Bedggood, of Vfai-, elate North. The deceased had resided in this district, for 18 year* In September, 1918, Mr. and Mrs. Baker celebrated their gclden viedilinj:. ',fhe deceased is survived by her husband and four daughters—Mrs. Bedggood (Kaikohe), Mrs. Campbell (Povert\*Bay), and Misses F. and H. E. Baker (Bethlehem). MR. TV: HHJJPETH. One of New Zealand's earliest colonist', Mr. William. Hildreth, died at Henderson last Sunday, aged 84. Mr. Hildreth vw bore at York, England, in 1836, and c-.n'f> " out to Nelson in the ship Phoebe in 1843.' the year cf the Wairau massacre. He wa? engaged in fanning at Nelson for 'sixty years, lately residing at Putaruru and Henderson. Mr. Hildreth eaves a w'dbw, •; throe, sons, an J" four daughters, who reside at Henderson.
