GENERAL DYER UPHELD.
BRITISH MILITARY VIEWS. Austnlhmand N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 7.8 p.m.) LONDON. May 27. General Dyer declines to comment on the report regarding the Amritsar riots, beyond saying that events will justify him. - The military view strongly supports General Dyer. Major-General Sir George Younghusband, of Ohitral fame, declares that General Dyer took the only possible step to stop a native' rising. All Europeans In India, especially the women, can thank. General Dyer. General O'Moore Creagh, formerly Commander-in-Chief in In Ira, says that sedition will be encouraged by this "damnable report, and that General Dyer's action was absolutely essential.
