The Daily Mail states that Profesrnr Dixon, fuel expert at the Manchester University, has no doubt that researches which are proceeding will shortly yield an unlimited supply of cheap motor spirit, composed of vegetable alcohol mingled with benzole or ether. The mahita tree, grown in India, is probablv the most suitable source of the supplj of alcohol. Extensive manufacture will s oart as soon as the Government decides en a method of making the alcohol undrinkable.
