TWO DISPUTES SETTLED.

WORKERS IN IRON TRADES. A conciliation council met yesterday, under fne presidency of the commissioner, Mr. P. Hally, to discuss the iron and brass moulders' dispute. A complete agreement was reached on all points. A week's work is to consist of 44 hours. The minimum wage is to be 2a an hour, plus a bonus of 3d an hour. Overtime is to he paid for at the rate of time and a-half for th© first three hours and after that double time. There is to be no overtime on Friday nights except where necessary to deal with urgent or " breakdown "' work. No worker is to work more than 24 hours overtime in one week. The usual holidays are provided for and preference is to be given to unionists. The boilermakers' dispute was also settled on terms similar to the above.
