OVERCROWDED SCHOOL.

COMPLAINT FROM TAURANGA. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Tuesday. Reference -was made at a meeting of the Tauranga District High School Committee last night to the overcrowded iitate of the school. It was stated that there were 138 children on Monday last in the infant room, which was built to accommodate about 80 pupils. It was also pointed out that such overcrowding was not in the interests or the health of the children. The committee unanimously decided that the chairman, Mr. B. P. Andrews, be deputed to wait on the Education Board in Auckland and urge that the construction of an infant classroom be proceeded with as soon as possible; also that representations be made in regard to other matters affecting the school.
