March 23. : A serious affair occurred in Dublin. A .crowd followed .some troops -leaving a theatre .in the city, and - came into: collision with them ■ near Portobello Barracks. The troops fired, killing a man and a •woman and'wounding several 'other persons. t A large force of troops occupied Portobello, Bridge to' prevent the ' crowd from : passing over it, aid fired several volleys.; Consternation and panic reigned.
