Cloudy, unsettled, and at times boisterous weather has prevailed, and rain has fallen generally. ' Northerly winds, strong to gale, have given place to sontherlies. Since Sunday the atmospheric pressure has increased steadily in the South, but is still below normal in, the Far North. The present indications are for strong south and south-east winds and cold, changeable weather generally; further rain is probable northwards of New Plymouth and. Caßtlepoint and scattered showers elsewhere, but a general improvement may b expected soon: barometer rising, but unsteady in Northern districts.
