GREYMOUTH TRAIN MISHAP.

TWO CARRIAGES DERAILED.

GREYMOUTH, Monday

During shunting operations at the Greymouth station early this morning two carriages of the Rewanui train missed the points and were derailed. Fortunately no one was injured. The brake van narrowly missed the signal station and crashed over on it* side after striking the signal post. The carriage immediately behind the van was thrown over, falling parallel to the rails.

The Otira express was delayed for a considerable time. A breakdown gang was quickly on the .-cene clearing the line.
