OFFER TO DEMPSEY.
£30,000 FOR FIGHT IN PARIS. A. and N.Z PARIS, Dec. 18.
Captain Decoin, manager of the Paris Wonderland, has accepted Jack Dempsey's offer to fight Carpentier in the Pershing Stadium for a guarantee of £30,000", plus a percentage of the gate. It is believed that Carpentier will receive a million and a-half francs. It is reported that the Paris municipality is ready to pay a big subsidy in order to secure the match for Paris or its vicinity.
