LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
[BT TELEGRAPHOWN' CORRESPONDENT.] ROTORUA. Monday. The local bodies of Rotorua have appointed Mr. H. W. Martin to represent them at the inspection of a block of 60,000 acres of land, south of Rotorua, with repiesentatives of the Lands, Agricultural, and forestry Departments, to determine its suitability for settlement.
