CLASHING SHOW DATES.
MORRINSVILLE AND TE AROHA. [by telegraph—own correspondent.] MORRINSVILLE, Friday. A meeting of the Morrinsville Agricultural, Pastoral, and Horticultural Society was held last night. A discussion ensued regarding the Te Aroha Society's action in deciding to hold its show on March 10, the same date as that fixed for the Morrinsville event. Several conferences have been held, but all have proved abortive. The Morrinsville Society has now decided to writ* regretting the clashing of dates and disclaiming responsibility. It points out that Te Aroha has not held a show for four years, that its previous date was January 29, that Morrinsville had previously held a show on March 10, between the dates of the Cambridge and Matamata fixtures, and it contends that it has a prior claim to the date fixed. Arrangements were made for holdino- a champion jump for a prize of £50 and sheepdog !. jals. Committees were set up, stewards appointed, and judges nominated. h
