LAND FOR SOLDIERS.
AREA NEAR PUKEKOHE. TOTAL OF i%40 ACRES. [BY TSXEGBAPHOWN CORRESPONDENT.] DUNEDIN. Friday. The Government has purchased a farm of 1340 acres near Pii'kekohe, Auckland, for settlement by returned soldiers. The property was owned by Mr. Maurice Coughlan, and the price ie £20,000, or about £16 an acre. The ;urea is situated at Puni, a few miles from the township of Pukekohe, with which it is connected bv a cood level metalled road. The land,' Which slopes to the Waikato River, lias been well cultivated, and is recognised to be of the beet in the district. .
