MURDERS IN DUBLIN.

SEARCH FOR ASSASSINS. LARGE REWARD OFFERED. JURY SYSTEM IN JEOPARDY. By Telegraph— Association—Copyright. (Received 11.30 p.m) A. and N.Z.-Renter. LONDON. Dec. 2. It is reported that trial by jury is |to be suspended in Ireland, three I judges replacing the jury. The Lord-Lieutenant offers a re- ' ward of £5000 for the detection of the murderers of policemen who have been recently killed in Dublin. 111 ! RISING EXPECTED. SECRET SINN FEIN ARMY. United Service. LONDON, Dec. S. Everyone is alertly expecting a I mild revolutionary outbreak in Ireland. The authorities and the ' majority of the people almost hope the climax will come soon. Lives will be lost and property destroyed, but the outbreak will mean that the extremists are reaching the end of , their resources. i The authorities have no doubt that there is a rift in the ranks of the I Sinn Fein concerning the policy of outrage and murder. Moderates at ' a recent meeting of the Dail Eirann, the Sinn Fein Parliament, denounced the cowardly killing of policemen, and the brutalities inflicted on women and old men in connection with the searches for firearms. The Irish Volunteers now form a compact secret society. Four regiments, completely equipped and officered, exist in Dublin alone, and the strength elsewhere is proportionate. Members of the Dail Eirann are forced to take the seditious oath prescribed for the volunteers. The authorities believe that Sinn Fein despite the leavening of the moderates, is becoming increasingly an--1 tagonistic to the element, farmers and small shopkeepers. GOVERNMENT'S PLANS. IRISH BILL THIS SESSION. LONDON. Nov. 19. The lobby correspondent of the Times states that the Cabinet is putting the finishing touches on the Irish Bill, which will be introduced into the House of Commons in a few days. It is understood that Mr. Lloyd George intends to request the passage of {The Bill during the present session, holding a sitting in January if necessary.
