AUSTRALIAN WHEAT CROP.

DISAPPOINTING YIELD. j After the disappointing spring weather, it is now evident, says the Australasian Insurance and Hanking Record, that the Australian wheat crop will be a small one. The quantity to be received into the pool will probably be, about 37 million bushels, and allowing for wheat retained for seed, the total crop may be reckoned at about 45 to 46 million bushels, a figure which gives little or no exportable surplus. This estimate compares with 75.230,388 bushels for 1918-19-114,733.584 bushels for 1917-18-152.420,189 bushels for 1916-17' 179.065,703 bushels for 1915-16; and 24.892,402 bushels for 1914-15. During the last few weeks a fair quantity has again been exported, partly on account of the British Government. During the period from December 30. 1918, to November 10, 1919, the total shipments of wheat from Australia have amounted to 71.193,000 bushels, in addition to 20,593,000 bushels in the form of flour, or a total of 91,786,000 bushels. The total shipments of wheat during the four seasons 1915-19 to November 10 amount to 187,173,000 bushels. The local sale* of wheat amount to a total of 192,651,000 bushels. The total shippers' stocks of wheat now amount to 79,056.000 bushels, and millers' stocks to 5,251,000 bushels.'
