To-day's issue of the Auckland Weekly News contains an interesting collection of pictorial subjects covering a wide range of interests. On a double page some fine panoramas of the Auckland Agricultural Show, held at Epsom last week, are reproduced, together with some excellent snapshots of the jumping events. A page of snapshots of the prize stock is also reproduced. Over two pages are devoted to the political campaign," and in this connection a very striking cartoon, entitled "The New Zealand December Fair : The Rival Showmen," is published, which is sure to command very general attention. Life and scenes in the Urewera Country make an attractive page, which, will merit more than ordinary interest owing to the fact that -the Government has recently bought nearly 300,000 acres of native land in this region for settlement purposes. The opening of the yachting season at Wellington is well portraved, and a fine panorama of the suburbs of-New Zealand's capital city should be of interest. . Many other excellent pictorial subjects dealing with various phases of life in the Dominion enhance further the attractiveness of the journal.
