THE WAR GRATUITIES.

CLAIMS OF THE INCAPACITATED.

The subject of war gratuities was considered at the general meeting of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association held on Thursday evening. The committee of the military hospital patients in Auckland wrote drawing attention to the fact that the gratuity "was not being paid to undischarged men.

A motion was carried unanimously that invalided men who had been in hospital continuously since their return to New Zealand should have their gratuitv paid to June 28, the date of the signing of peace, or to the date of their discharge from hospital if that "took place prior to June 28; and, further, that the gratuity of men at present in hospital be paid as soon as possible and not held over until their discharge.
