EMPIRE'S MOBILISATION.
OVER 6,000,000 SOLDIERS RAISED I I WAR HONOURS TOTALLED. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Nov. 26. A War Office return shows that 6,196,000 officers and men passed through the army during the war. The honours awarded for services in the field, exclusive of the Royal Air Force, totalled 236,035. They included 577 Victoria Crosses, nearly 9000 D.S.O.'s, 36,707 Military Crosses and £4,420 D.C.M.s. The honours awarded for war services other than in the field totalled 13,352.
