FIRST MEETING IN PARIS.

WHEN PEACE IS RATIFIED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. . (Reed. 9.30 p.m.) NEW YORK. Oct. 20.

The Paris correspondent of the New York Times states that the Supreme Council has voted in favour of holding the first meeting of the Council of the League of Nations in Paris on the same day that the formal deposit of the ratifications of the Versailles Treaty is made. Mr. Wilson has been requested to issue a call which will go to Britain, France, the United States, Japan, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Spain, and Brazil. The American delegation is positive that the United States will not be represented on the Council unless the Senate ratifies the Treaty before the meeting.
