OBITUARY.

MR. E. B. ALEXANDER

Mr. Edward Beattv Alexander, who died on Monday at his resident Clovernook Road, Epsom, at the age of i>7, ■«■&£ a native of Armagh, North of Ireland. He left London in 1880 to join the National Bank of New Zealand at Wellington and .subsequently filled various positions in the service of the bank, including that of manager at Port Chalmers, Tanranga and the Newton branch at Auckland. Mr Alexander resigned the position <>( man ager of the Newton branch in 1898 and engaged in business on his own account as accountant, auditor and gi neral agent, and was for some years auditor f...t the school fund accounts. The interment was private.
