At & meeting of tbe New Zealand Boxing Council, the executive reported that the following permits to promote professional championships had been granted ;-- Northern Association: A. Pooley and G. liodrich, heavy-weight. Wellington Association; D. Murphy and J. Hecney, middle-weight. Correspondence- was received from the Northern Association agreeing to remove ' pre-war disqual Scations imposed by Uio as- i aociauon. and from the Wellington Association on the same subject, stating that it did not favour the general removal of diaauaJificationt;. The secretary wm instructed to communicate further with me Wellington Association on the matter Tlie Whaugarei Association applied for permission to promote a contest tor the. teath»i-v.-eight processional championship. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the Westport and Whangarei Associations on the matter.
