DECLINING FRENCH CREDIT
GRAVE EXCHANGE CRISIS. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 17.
The Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph states that all classes are slowly realising the seriousness of the exchange crisis. The eight-hour clay hampers efforts to increase production, which alonewill re-establish the commercial balance and restore the national currency. Bank notes in circulation increased by £40,000,000 last week, to a total of £1.440,000,000, further diminishing credit.
