BALNEOLOGIST APPOINTED.
POSITION AT ROTORUA.
DR. J. D. CAMPBELL DUNCAN
Dr. J. D. Campbell Duncan, for some years medical officer in charge of Hanmer Springs sanatorium and baths, has been appointed Government balneologist at Botorua, in succession to Dr. A. S. Herbert, resigned.
Dr. Duncan served v-ith the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces in Egypt, France, and at No. 2 New Zealand General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames. He was wounded in the Somme offensive of 1916. Prior to returning to New Zealand, Dr. Duncan had been some time at the Royal Mineral Water Hospital, Bath, studying the latest methods of balneology as practised there, and for some time was a&socited with Dr. Jones-LJewollyn, of Harlev Street, London, and Bath, who is senior governor of the Royal Mineral Water Hospital at Bath, and one of the leading authorities on rheumatism and chronic diseases in England. Since returning to New Zealand Dr. Duncan has been attached to the King George V. Hospital, Rotorua, as medical officer in charge of physic-thera-peutics.
