RELIGION AND MORALITY.
Sir, —I would suggest that "Progress"' read, if he has nol already done so, v. Tolstoy's Essays on "Religion and Morality." "Reason and Religion," ''What is -- Religion ?" etc. In these essays his maturer views on life are expressed. If 0 he reads carefully and thoughtfully, uses ta the spiritual, , rather than the natural, mind. I believe that "Progress" -will he t< led to the conclusion that—as Tolstoy ro puts it—"without religious roots (here jk can be no real, sincere morality, just as 1 without roots there can be no real flower." '3. Student.
