A' the Congress of the Furniture Trades' Federation it was decided to refer the question of forming a Furnishing Trades' Federation to the affiliated unions for consideration. It was decided to instruct the 'ncomiiu' national executive to take a ballot of th» federation on the question of amalgamation with the Amalgamated Society o:. Carpente: and Joiners. It was decided to take no action on the question of establishing a trade journal The congress decided to locate the national executive in Wellington until the next congress. Proposals for a new award were under discussion whan the congress adjourned.
