FURTHER EVIDENCE TAKEN. The hearing of the compensation case brought by the Tauranga Rimu Timber Company (Mr. Reed, K. 0., and Mr. Anderson) against the Public Works Department (Mr. S. Mays) in connection with the taking of land for the East Coa-st railway was continued yesterday, when further evidence was tendered. It was decided that argument on legal points raised should be heard before the Supreme Court when all the evidence has been taken. The case is expected to last, till Tuesday. !
