GOVERNMENT ACTION. ORDER TO BE PRESERVED. MR. CAREY TOLD TO STAY. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE, Oct. 16. In the House of Representatives, Mr. P. McM. Glynn, Minister of State for Home and Territories, stated that adequate steps •were being taken to preserve order in the Northern Territory. He had telegraphed to Mr. Carey stating that the official were not to leave the Territory. In reply to questions, he said an attempt had been made to establish a. provisional government, but none of the re quests made under duress were acceded to.
