SENATORS' CHANGED MINDS.
TO SUPPORT THE TREATY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Bccd. 12.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 25. The Washington correspondent of the New York Times states that Mr. Ashurst and the other Democratic members of the Senate, who recently informed Mr. Wilson that they could not vote against Mr. Hiram Johnson's amendment to equalise the voting power of the British Empire and the United States in the League of Nations, have now telegraphed to Mr. Wilson stating that after careful consideration of ths treaty controversy they have changed their minds, and will vote for the ratification of the treaty without alteration.
Mr. Hiram Johnson has resumed his trip on Mr. Wilson's trail, after receiving assurances that the Senate will not consider his amendment during his absence.
